The unusual nickname was once given quickly after her wedding to Prince Harry in 2018.
King Charles’ sudden nickname for his daughter-in-law Meghan, Duchess of Sussex has been revealed.
The revelation of the moniker comes amid reviews that Prince William has banned his youth from calling Queen consort Camilla “step-grandmother”.
Charles interestingly nicknamed Meghan “Tungsten” - showing how a whole lot respect he had for her, royal biographer Katie Nicholls writes in her e book The New Royals.
Tungsten is the strongest steel on earth, is uncommon to locate and used in many high-temperature applications.

“Charles reportedly nicknamed his future daughter-in-law ‘Tungsten’ because of her durability and resilience,” Nicholls wrote.
Reportedly the nickname first arose when Meghan and her husband Prince Harry joined Prince William and Catherine, Princess of Wales in a 2018 appearance at the Royal Foundation Forum.
“It was, according to one aide, the second William and Kate, who used to be closely pregnant, realised they wanted to up their game,” Nicholl said.
“The Cambridges (now the Prince and Princess of Wales) had already signalled their intention to be more than ‘ornamental royals’ and had, along with Harry, made a massive success of their intellectual health marketing campaign Heads Together.

“But Meghan was the breakout celebrity of the foursome. She used to be polished, passionate and funny, the use of all her TV-honed abilities to present her case.
“That was once a wake-up moment for William and Kate when they realised that Meghan was very impressive, very confident and very capable, in accordance to a source.”
While this nickname was once used in the royal family, another was once reportedly banned by way of Prince William.

His three children, Prince George, nine, Princess Charlotte, seven and Prince Louis, four, reportedly do not name Camilla “step-grandmother” or “step-granny”.
Angela Levin, writer of Camilla: From Outcast to Queen Consort wrote, claims that while Camilla married William’s father Charles, her relationship with his grandchildren will be different.
